Jean-Germain Gros, a native of Haiti, is assistant professor of political science and public-policy administration and a fellow of the Center for International Studies at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He is co-author of Political Transformation in Late Twentieth-Century Africa: Coping with Ambiguity.
