Catharin E. Dalpino is a resident associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, D.C., where she specializes in issues related to democratization in Asia. Now on leave from The Asia Foundation, she served from 1988 to 1990 as the Foundation’s representative for Thailand.
