Jeremy Shearmur
Jeremy Shearmur has just joined the department of political science, faculty of arts, as a lecturer at the Australian National University in Canberra. Until May 1992, he was senior research fellow and director of studies at the Institute for Humane Studies and research associate professor at George Mason University. He received his Ph.D. from the London School of Economics, where he spent eight years as research assistant to Sir Karl Popper and wrote a dissertation on the political thought of Friedrich Hayek. He has also taught at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Manchester, and has served as director of studies at the Centre for Policy Studies in London.
